     E. Laurence Bake is the author of The Universal Code Of Creation - The best seller book, The Poet & The Princess – TREASURES – the composer, producer and featured artist of The TREASURES Double CD, soundtrack audio book - the 8 part poetic masterwork, The Message - author of a collection of several thousand poems that represent his life’s poetic works to date – and the performing artist on the new 2023 record album, “Deep Blue Cool.”   

 

     Laurence was born in Canada. His father passed away when he was two years old, leaving him to survive the best he could in an environment dominated by poverty, alcoholism and uncertainty. As a result he made the dramatic decision to set out on his own at the tender age of 15, find a job and free himself from the emotional turmoil he found himself in each day. 

 

     He packed one small bag, left home, found a job in a mailroom, safe accommodations, and the will to follow his love of music. Working days, practicing his musical instruments at night, he began his journey as a creative artist. (a performing musician) 

 

     In the years that followed he grew that into a dynamic career, playing in bands with #1 records, performing concerts throughout Canada (The Edward Bear band - Jack Bailey - Bobbie Dee band) and in the USA. (Stanley Clarke – jazz bassist) 

 

     With that accomplished he decided to turn down the opportunity to go on tour with music icon David Bowie, and leave the music world to pursue his love of learning. He was only 27 years old. 

 

     His desire to learn, write and research took him to universities in the USA and England. He diligently followed his passions, majoring in Philosophical Studies and Executive Management.

 

     This resulted in a high level Executive position, managing offices in 52 cities internationally. But in time he realized a deeper desire to bring what he had learned back to the arts, his poems, his books and music, where it all began. So except for consulting, occasionally, he left the executive world for a life filled with uncertainty and adventure - as a creative artist once more.

   By 1992 Laurence had penned over 900 pieces of poetry and enjoyed an estimated 10,000 private collectors of his works. Many of his works sold to private collectors and still hang on walls in private homes and places of business. Poems like "Trust - Here To Infinity - Imagine - On Age." for example, are still held in private family collections, and it’s been said that a few of his poetic pieces have remained in home safes and bank safety deposit boxes for decades, to be given as gifts to collector's children and grandchildren.

 

     E. Laurence Bake poetic works have found their way to 14 countries around the world.

     Throughout his writing career he has remained (what could only be described as) reclusive. He has never submitted or offered any of his works to the traditional publishing world. Yet, The Poet & The Princess – TREASURES: “A gift book about prosperity and true wealth” became a smash hit best seller with nothing more than word of mouth from person to person, and broke all manner of sales records during the years that it was available.

 

     The sales of the 1st Edition of TREASURES was then discontinued to make way for a newly designed edition, scheduled for release in late 2023 – early 2024.

 

     Meanwhile, the world suffered a great tragedy (2021 – 2022) with the pandemic, lockdowns and difficult times for all, as members of the Human Family. During that time Laurence wrote and recorded a new music album, “Deep Blue Cool.” And when asked if he would release his work on The Universal Code Of Creation, he agreed immediately.

 

     In doing so he remarked, “True joy, happiness, true wealth and peace of mind do not come to us simply as a result of owning or controlling more objects. (the material world) They come when we CREATE a better life, more abundance, and happier days for ourselves and for others. That's because the most valuable things in life are EXPERIENCES - not objects.

 

     Love, understanding, trust, true wealth inner and outer, happiness, etc., these are experiences. This is the simple, world-changing truth that humanity needs more than ever now. CREATING IS THE MOST SPIRITUAL ACT ONE CAN POSSIBLY ENGAGE IN ON EARTH AND BEYOND.”

     The release of The Universal Code Of Creation represented a new and exciting chapter in the life of this dedicated, life-long artist, who has (until now) been happy to work far and away from the spotlights, media attention and the public stage.
